And now it is over

I have been ignoring this blog.

I have been back in Manila for almost two years now and California is now but a fond memory. Since then I purchased a home, got engaged, won an award or two at work, went on a few vacations and I got married. :)

To close off this blog, here are the best things I found in California (in no particular order) - some of them I quite honestly miss till today.

White water rafting
Manila Forwarders (I forgot the name of the guy who assisted me but he was heaven sent. Amazing service, affordable rates, extremely fair and honest in dealing with you.)
Sunnyvale Farmer's Market (Giant baked potato with everything, free taste of almost everything, fresh fruits, beautiful flowers, super near our apartment - I just love love this place)
The Bay Fish and Chips (Fish, shrimps and fried artichokes)
Quizno's
JT McHart's Pizza (The best! Lots of toppings, not oily, freshly made)
seafood at Halfmoon Bay
Lee's Sandwiches (Chicken curry rice - yum!)
Old Port Lobster Shack (Lobster rolls)
Momoya Sushi (Inexpensive but good sashimi)
Yuzu Sushi and Grill (A little more expensive but far better sashimi. Great and inexpensive lunch specials)
Ryowa Ramen House (Ryowa Ramen, Fried Rice and Gyoza please! Can I have one fried chicken too?)
Hanamaru (especially the Harley Davidson Roll - I have yet to find a replacement)
99 Chicken (delicious fried chicken, salad bar, unlimited rice and SOJU!)
Potsticker King (Family meal please! Delicious and affordable)
Rick and Famous Mattresses (I shipped one of the beds I got from here to Manila)
Wok On Express (Lots of food, super inexpensive)
Ranch 99 (Great asian grocery - they have tilapia and they fry it for you)
Seafood City (Pinoy grocery - so far away but the best in terms of cleanliness, price and pinoy food selection)
Hancook (Great selection and super clean Koren grocery)
Gelato Classico
Chicken wings and egg roll from King Egg Roll
The Cottage @ Carmel (Delish eggs benedict!)
Vietnamese Pho (No particular place that stands out to me though)
Affordable Ben and Jerry's, Dryers and Haagen Daz (Magnolia was more expensive!)
Yelp (I found all these places via Yelp - I even explored Las Vegas like a pro because of it)
AT&T data plan on my iPhone
Designer goods on sale
Camping and driving top down in Napa
Running into a bear in Yosemite
My friends Shiying, Jackie, Kim, Ron, Carla, Boy
And last and the best thing I found (and took home)... my husband :):):)
